WHAT WE OFFER

Specializing in a wide range of commercial, residential and public sector projects.

Offering a growing list of AEC planning services including FAA Certified Drone Photogrammetry, Visual Simulations, Visual Assessments, GIS mapping and CEQA / NEPA reporting.

AERIAL AND UNDERWATER DRONE SERVICES

We utilize aerial and underwater drone technology, powerful computers and photogrammetry software to generate photorealistic 2D and 3D representations of topographic surfaces. Site specific high resolution orthographic photos vastly speed up inventory, design and planning workflows.

VISUAL SIMULATIONS

Agencies are increasingly requiring accurate scenic simulations for EIRs. Our detailed simulation process was developed within the Tahoe Basin, one of the most protected and regulated scenic environments in the US.

VISUAL ASSESSMENTS

3dfx Design’s years of experience with TRPA Scenic Quality Standards as well as CEQA, NEPA and Visual Impact Assessments (VIA) help clients streamline through the complicated entitlement process. Projects range from major casino redevelopments, ski resort master planning, marina expansions, private lakeside residential projects, pier modifications and public environmental improvement projects. Years of experience help navigate clients through a scenic maze of requirements. Clients save time, money and maximize their project’s developmental footprint while still maintaining the architectural vision of their projects.

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM (GIS)

GIS experience includes maps and databases for wetland delineations, biological and botanical surveys, biological assessments, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documents, vegetation monitoring, habitat assessment, noxious weed mapping, sensitive resource impact analysis, resource damage assessment, regulatory permit applications, urban walking maps and wildfire defensible space maps.

CEQA / NEPA

3dfx tackles CEQA and NEPA regulations.  Environmental reporting projects include fish passage improvement projects as well as corridor safety and accessibility studies.
